HOSTING MANAGER PRO DOCUMENTATION
PRODUCTS & CATEGORIES
Build service products, organise them into categories and prepare them for purchase and fulfilment.
HOW IT WORKS.
Products are the service plans you sell. Categories keep those products organised and make the front-end product experience easier to structure.
01
CREATE CATEGORIES FIRST
Set up a small category structure that reflects how you actually sell services, for example Hosting, Domains, Maintenance or Add-ons. Avoid creating categories that only contain one confusing variation.
02
CREATE A PRODUCT
Add the product name, customer-facing description, price and the information HMP needs to present and fulfil the service. Keep the wording clear enough that the buyer understands exactly what they are purchasing.
03
PRODUCT SETUP
Review the product settings carefully before publishing. The product is the source of the order, while the fulfilled order becomes the live client service. That separation lets you sell a plan without prematurely creating an active hosting service.
04
ORGANISE FOR THE FRONT END
Assign products to the correct categories and order them logically. This helps both HMP's native front-end output and any Divi 5 product/category modules you use.
05
TEST BEFORE GOING LIVE
Run at least one test purchase for a new product. Confirm the amount, payment method, fulfilment flow and resulting service match what you intended.

WORKFLOW PRINCIPLE

KEEP THE RECORD AUTHORITATIVE.
HMP works best when the client, order, payment and service records reflect what is actually happening in your hosting business. Before changing a status or date, check the underlying customer or payment event and update HMP to match the real-world state.
