DIGITAL PRODUCT MANAGER PRO
Payments
Configure secure online payments with Stripe or offer manual payment by bank transfer.
Digital Product Manager Pro supports automated online payments through Stripe and manual payments by bank transfer. Both methods feed into DPM's order and fulfilment system, but they are deliberately handled differently.
Stripe provides immediate automated checkout and fulfilment after successful payment. Bank transfer creates a pending order and waits for you to confirm that payment has arrived before DPM grants customer access.
1. Stripe
Stripe provides DPM's automated checkout workflow. Successful payments can create and fulfil the order, grant customer access, issue a software licence when enabled, make protected downloads available, reduce limited stock when applicable, and generate the appropriate customer documents and emails.
Configure Stripe from Digital Products > Settings.

2. Stripe Webhook
DPM uses a Stripe webhook to receive payment completion notifications. Your endpoint follows this format:
https://yourwebsite.com/wp-json/dpm/v1/stripe/webhook
Configure the payment events required by DPM, including checkout.session.completed and checkout.session.async_payment_succeeded, then enter the Stripe webhook signing secret in DPM.
Keep Stripe secret keys and webhook secrets private.
3. Test Mode
Use Stripe Test Mode while setting up the store. Complete the full checkout journey and confirm that the order, customer access, protected download, emails, invoice or receipt and licence are created correctly before switching to live credentials. After fulfilment, also confirm that the customer email includes the invoice or receipt PDF attachment.
4. Manual Bank Transfer
Stripe is optional for unlimited products. Enable Bank Transfer in Digital Products > Settings and enter the exact payment details customers need.
When a customer chooses bank transfer, DPM creates a pending order and sends the customer your payment instructions together with the order number as the payment reference. Customer product access is not granted at this stage.
Once the payment arrives, go to Digital Products > Orders and use Confirm bank payment & fulfil. DPM then runs the normal fulfilment process, granting access, creating a licence where applicable, generating the invoice or receipt and sending the fulfilled customer email.
Limited-stock products are Stripe-only. DPM intentionally hides bank transfer for products with a numeric Available quantity so unpaid transfer orders cannot hold or oversell scarce stock.
5. When Both Payment Methods Are Enabled
For an unlimited product, customers can choose between Stripe and bank transfer when both methods are enabled.
For a limited-stock product, DPM presents Stripe only. This keeps stock handling immediate and prevents an unpaid manual order from reserving availability.
Sale pricing works with the active payment method. An unlimited product can use its active Sale price with Stripe or bank transfer, while a limited-stock Sale remains Stripe-only.
Payment Setup Complete
Once your preferred payment workflow is configured, make a test purchase before accepting live orders. If you offer both methods, test Stripe and bank transfer separately so you have verified both automated and manual fulfilment.
